She stopped having as much fun as she could have and should have when she’d get in her head while dancing, and that’s when the dances aren’t much fun to watch…. Not necessarily all of the dances or the entire individual dances-but the pressure she’d placed upon herself due to wanting to win a mirror ball so badly (which is always odd to me but it’s obvibeen the case for many celebs thrtoighout the years) showed in her dances in some kind of way and I was paying attention to this. A few weeks ago, when it became pretty evident that she started being “in it to win it” after getting 10s and some (slightly bizarre) overt praise from the judges, is when I saw the shift that was evident in her dances. I think the “wanting to win” mentality is what became quite detrimental to Melora, as it tends to when anyone gets in that head space. She doesn’t want him to have to put on a front and worry about rules/technique. She wants to create a dance that has never been done before on the show and wants Cody to just be Cody. Covid is a challenge for the freestyle (can’t get close to other dancers). Freestyle - mixing 3 songs together for 1:45s (songs we have all heard of and Cody loves) Fusion - Cha Cha/Paso Doble fusion dance (didn’t say the song) She mentioned the haters have been getting to him but they are both staying strong. His fans feel like they owe a vote for Cody since he got them through that hard time. Cody has gotten his Peloton crew through the pandemic and so his fans consider him his best friends and vice versa. He was laughing after they were saved because he knew people would be angry. Admits they would have been gone starting week 3 if they ever got to the bottom 2.Ĭody knows he has a lot of haters. She is grateful to the Peloton community and says that is the only reason they are there.
Says when the judges score a couple too low, it angers fans. She thinks all of the judges want to see something diff - Derek & Len are ballroom, CAI looks for chemistry, Bruno wants hip action She thinks maybe at that point the judges should have more power to save the better dancers.ĭisagreed with Derek’s 8 for their Salsa, says it was kinda harsh given the difficulty of the dance. She said hypothetically, "maybe you don’t think Cody is a good dancer but gets saved over Melora" because he has a lot more votes. She suggested that the Judge’s save may be only good to a certain point in the competition. Wants to be there for Suni and knows how hard it is. She reminds Cheryl of her younger self, I.e. Mentions how she wants Sasha to have his time getting a mirrorball She felt guilty that Artem and Sasha were eliminated. Suni has pushed the whole cast this season because her work ethic is above everyone else’s.
Says Melora is the best dancer as far as technique goes this season. She says she feel really bad about Melora and Suni.
They had said their goodbyes prior to the eliminations because they thought they would be the automatic elim.
